BUNIHPPS Study Final Reminder

This is your final reminder email about BUNIHPPS- a survey research study for patients with narcolepsy or idiopathic hypersomnia.

Dr. William DeBassio and Sara Kowalczyk are the study investigators of the Boston University Narcolepsy and Idiopathic Hypersomnia Patient Perspectives Study (BUNIHPPS). The researchers thank all who have participated in the survey already. We apologize for the multiple emails, but with the anonymous nature of the survey, there is no way to know who has already participated.

If you haven’t already participated and were meaning to OR if you started the survey and then forgot to finish it, this is your FINAL reminder to do so. If you have lost your “return code” and want to finish your survey, this may be possible, and you should email .

If you are starting the survey for the first time, please start the survey and save to get your “return code” early in the survey to avoid losing your answers in case of submission or Internet errors at the end of an unsaved survey. Make sure you write down your “return code.” You can use it to return to your survey from the main survey.

Not only does completing the survey allow you to enter the raffle for one of eight $25 Amazon gift cards, but it also makes sure that your answers are included for every study question.

If everyone who fits the study criteria below participates in the survey, the results from such a large group will generate more consistent and reliable results than smaller studies. For these health conditions, large groups of patients have traditionally been hard to find, so this study is a unique research opportunity to consider.

To participate, or to learn more about participating, go to https://www.hypersomniafoundation.org/research-study/bunihpps/. You can also see what others are saying on the Facebook page www.facebook.com/BUNIHPPS

  • Must have a diagnosis of narcolepsy (any type) or idiopathic hypersomnia
  • May have other diseases or medical conditions
  • Must be able to read and understand English
  • Must have access to a computer connected to the Internet
