Countdown to IH Day
About IH Day
Idiopathic Hypersomnia Day (IH Day) is devoted to informing and acknowledging idiopathic hypersomnia worldwide. IH Day mobilizes the IH community to raise awareness, educate, and uplift the voices of those living with idiopathic hypersomnia.
This year’s theme for 2026 Idiopathic Hypersomnia Day is “Where in the World is Idiopathic Hypersomnia?” Idiopathic Hypersomnia affects people all over the world. This year’s IH Day, we want to celebrate and acknowledge the global community. We, as a global community, are stronger together. Connection and community foster a deeper understanding of one another and a collective power for change.
We are grateful to be partnering with Hypersomnolence Australia. Together, we hope this collaborative effort will accelerate the diagnostic process, advance research to identify the cause, and reduce stigma.

Commemorate IH Day in person – Come celebrate IH Day in person with us at Hypersomnia Foundation’s 2026 #BeyondSleepy™ Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. There will be a ceremony and other community events throughout the conference day.
#BeyondSleepy™ Conference: A conference for people with idiopathic hypersomnia, narcolepsy, and Kleine-Levin syndrome and their supporters. We have a wonderful mix of speakers covering the latest in research, treatments, and clinical trials; networking and discussion panels; an evening reception; and more. Come catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Virtual attendance is also available.
With the generous support of our sponsors, virtual registration is free!
Whether you attend in-person or virtually, you’ll also get access to recordings of all the general sessions for 3 months after the conference via Whova, so you can still “attend” even if those dates/times don’t work for you!
