KANSAS CITY, MO: AAFP (American Association of Family Physicians) National Conference for Medical Students and Family Medicine Residents

Event Details

Note: This is not a patient event. Read on to learn why HF is participating in this important meeting!

As part of HF’s new 2019 initiative, we are reaching out to the professionals who are most likely to encounter sleepy people! At this conference, HF will exhibit and network among 2,500 medical students and family medicine residents in order to raise awareness of IH and provide education about rare sleep disorders to medical professionals who are very likely to encounter sleepy patients first – future family medicine physicians. Most medical schools provide only 3 hours – on average – of instruction about sleep, and HF wants to encourage these young medical professionals to consider the possibility of a sleep disorder when diagnosing a sleepy (or fatigued) patient.
