Getting #BeyondSleepy in Boston

HF will exhibit and network among nearly 3,600 school counselors to raise awareness of IH and provide education about rare sleep disorders to those most likely to be sent students who frequently sleep in class.

As part of HF’s new 2019 initiative, we are reaching out to the professionals who are most likely to encounter sleepy people! If we raise awareness and share information on these rare sleep disorders, we believe more people with excessive daytime sleepiness would be referred for sleep evaluations, sooner. (Imagine if we could shorten the time between symptoms and diagnosis, thought to be 6-7 years on average!)
